Obsolete Keywords

This reference describes obsolete and deprecated AMPAC keywords. See Chapter 6, Keywords for descriptions of current keywords that are grouped according to category.

The following obsolete keywords, if present in the input deck, will cause AMPAC to exit with a message.

OLDCHAIN	Superseded by CHN.
OLDPOWELL	Superseded by TRUSTG.
OLDSIGMA	Superseded by TRUSTG.
OLDNLLSQ	Superseded by TRUSTG.
SM1	Superseded by SM5.2, SM5.2R, SM5C, and SM5CR.
SM1A	Superseded by SM5.2, SM5.2R, SM5C, and SM5CR.
SM2	Superseded by SM5.2, SM5.2R, SM5C, and SM5CR.
SM2.1	Superseded by SM5.2, SM5.2R, SM5C, and SM5CR.
SM3	Superseded by SM5.2, SM5.2R, SM5C, and SM5CR.

The following obsolete keywords have been renamed.

CYCLES	Replaced by OPTMAX.
ITRY	Replaced by SCFMAX.
PL	Replaced by SCFPRT.
BOOST	Replaced by SCFBOOST.

The following obsolete keywords, if present in the input deck, will be automatically replaced with valid keywords by AMPAC.

CYCLES	Replaced automatically with OPTMAX.
ITRY	Replaced automatically with SCFMAX.
NLLSQ	Replaced automatically with TRUSTG.
POWELL	Replaced automatically with TRUSTG.
SIGMA	Replaced automatically with TRUSTG.

The following obsolete keywords provided functionality that is now included in a different keyword.

FAIL	Superseded by NEWDEN.
POLAR	Superseded by APOLAR and KPOLAR.
SILENTSMXX	Superseded by AMSPRNT=0.
VERBOSESMXX	Superseded by AMSPRNT=2.

The following obsolete keywords no longer exist, and will not be recognized by AMPAC.
